Another year has come and gone and i continue my adventure on New Years Eve in Atlanta, Georgia. It begins with me sleeping about 4hrs to be up at 6am to get myself to the Newark Airport for my 9am flight. Flew out on time and arrived by noon, get my baggage and off to the Marta for an hour ride to North Springs where Erin picks me up. We are then off to Downtown Atlanta for a meet-up at the Vortex at 2:30pm and as per usual most everyone is late. Funny enough, the people who live the farthest arrive first.

My second time at the Vortex and i'm still impressed with their food and the amount they give. I got the Chicken Digits, which were like super huge versions of chicken fingers and each digit was like a slice of chicken breast. I couldn't finish it, which could be a sign that i wasn't feeling 100%. I got to meet many new OB folks and a few old. Once lunch was done the majority of us decide to roam around nearby stores to kill time before Billy's party.

Now for the main event, NYE at Billy's parents place. We got to rock out on some Rockband and drink and have a few interesting conversations before midnight. I also end up spending a great deal of time talking to Billy's parents as they were quite inquisitive about myself coming all the way from NJ. I believe our conversation started with them asking me if i was half-asian, which they were a bit surprised that i'm 100% Chinese. We also discussed Japan because his dad lived their for a few years and talked about Brooklyn because his mom was originally from there. Eventually they told me i should go hang out with the rest of the group downstairs and didn't want to take away all my time.

Midnight came fast and i had a few cups of cranberry and vodka to be quite inebriated until SQ hands me his drink, which i thought he wanted to give me a sip of it. I try returning it, but he tells me he can't and i can't waste booze and i drank it entirely. That was my downfall, but it won't get me till a little later. I probably shouldn't have drank as much since i've only had two breakfast bars and lunch at the Vortex and been up since 6am.

It's about 3am and Billy needed to sleep since he has work the next morning, so many of us head to Jesse's apt to continue the partying. On the ride to his place i puke a little bit on the side of the road and began to get sleepy as i naturally do. Arrived at the apt and pretty much immediately passed out on his chair only to wake up about 2-3hrs later with everyone leaving. So Jesse gives me an air mattress and i pump it up so that Erin and i can sleep more comfortably.

New Years day, waking up groggily around noon feeling dehydrated and still sleepy. Erin drove SQ back to his place before we headed back to her grandmother's house. Stopped along the way to get some gatorade and finally arrive to her home. I got to meet Erin's grandmother and father, not much the two dogs as they don't take kindly to strangers. We proceed to rest in her room some more cause i needed more nappy time.

Once it was about dinner time and myself feeling better, we head out for some grub and then to see if we can catch a movie. Unfortunately we missed the movie but that's okay cause we watched The Last Unicorn back in her room. I had never seen it and i enjoy making fun of Dan and calling him a pussy for loving it. However, it is a wonderful movie and the songs get stuck in my head. The rest of the night was watching Erin play Fable 2 till 2am and then talking together for a few hrs. Didn't get much sleep but i had to get up and ready to leave her place by 4pm for my flight back home.

My plane was delayed and we had to taxi and wait in line before flying so my 7pm flight didn't leave till about 8:30pm, but i arrive in Newark Airport only about 30min later than originally planned. So overall i had an amazing whirlwind event and pushing my body past its limits, which has taken its toll on me.

I'm sorry no pictures were taken, but if you read this you would see that things just went by incredibly fast. i wish i could have stayed longer, but Erin had a full day of work the next day or i would have totally tried to stay another night. I hope everyone had an amazing New Years Eve as well!

So 2 weeks ago i went to Henderson, Nevada to the Sunset Station hotel for BootyCon! It was basically 6 days of people hanging out, drinking and partying all week. I'm glad i decided to go a day earlier and leave a day later because it was amazing to meet new friends and also be with friends i don't see often.

Highlights of the week
- The awesome Panel videos and awards.
- Thirsty Thursday's $1 drinks
- Probably 50+ OBers getting Ice Cream at Ben and Jerry's with one girl working.
- Bacon wrapped Fillet Mignon.
- Delicious Buffet at Treasure Island.
- Someone's marble counter fell during a party and fixed the next day.
- Everclear called security on one of the room parties.
- Spin the Bottle.
- Cops showed up to break up an OB gathering around 5am
- Hooker and Stripper at the final party!
- Flight back humor: Continental flight 1069, Departing at 4:20pm, Gate D20, Row 21 DEF.
Taken almost all kinda of transportation: Plane, Train from Newark to Penn, Subway then Bus to Brooklyn.
3am eating Dunkin Donut's Supreme omelet sandwiches and drinking a 40 while watching Rambo 4 at 4am with Alex, Sergio, and John.

That's all i can recall for now and most of you were there or close enough with me that i told you details.
Here are some pictures that i found that i'm in. :)

I haven't posted in awhile and have been pretty busy for someone who doesn't have a job.
So here is what you all have been waiting for. Stuff that has happened. Actually most of this is pretty boring and i don't really have pictures to add to it.

So lately i've been a bit stressed about the whole apt situation. We need to finish building the rooms and loft so that it would make it easier to find a new roommate. Not to mention this roommate, i believe needs to be approved by the housing office to replace Dan on the lease. I don't think the housing office will allow just Nicole to be on the lease, but if they do it would make finding a new roommate just a tad bit easier.

If anyone knows anyone who wants to move into Brooklyn and most likely willing to be on the lease with my roommate Nicole. Let me know cause we are having trouble finding someone. Move in date would be June 1st, but if the person can move in earlier that is fine too, but i'm hoping to have this apt all finished with construction within the next 2 weeks. Id our friend Dave doesn't have time to help us Dan and i are probably gonna try and find people on craigslist to finish building this place.

Now i'm off to eat some dinner and catch up on LJ since i haven't checked it much.

It hasn't been easy living in this apt where there is basically no rooms to call our own, and living in basically a construction zone for the majority of the time i've lived here. Finally got some progress while i was away during Katsucon and being sick for a week at my dad's place. Here are the pictures:

Hopefully tomorrow i'll be working on the apartment with my friend and get up the lofts over the hallway so that Dan and i can place our beds on. Also build the framework for one more wall and a door for Dan's room. Then all we have left to do i think would be to put up drywall. At least this is me hoping that this will all finally be done within the next two weeks.

The sad thing is i'm not sure if i'll be staying in this apartment when the lease is up in 3 months. I know my friend Dan is not staying and is going back to Jersey. Just a shame to do all this work and barely get to enjoy living with rooms.

Now if i can shake off this lingering cough so that i can go job hunting without accidentally coughing in future employer's faces. Also need to look into voice acting classes in the city.

Been going out drinking more frequently the past 2 weeks, which means i tend to use my credit card more often and save the cash in my wallet just for booze money. :)

Last Friday i went to see Cloverfield with Inge, I found the movie to be pretty good. I didn't have high expectations going in and i knew that it was basically a documentary style film with gimicky shaky cam. I just really wanted to see what the monster looked like before the spoilers appear. The monster itself was decent and interesting looking and i hope i can find out some more info on its origins.

After the movie Sergio and i were suppose to touch base and see if we will be getting our drink on, but i didn't hear from him. I skip the first L train back home to wait a little bit longer in case i hear from him. Just before the next L comes by Sergio comes walking toward me and it was like fate has brought us together. Unfortunately Diana was sick so i went with Sergio and met his sister and brother in law. During the ride back we Geek'd out and talked about Marvel comic book related events, which is pretty awesome. I don't get to talk comics with anyone.

So i got back home pretty late around 2am and about 30min later i hear a knock on the door and was confused since we rarely get any visitors plus it's pretty late. Granted there was a loud party across the street and people are usually up till 4-5am during the weekends here. I look through the peep hole and there is some cute girl there. I answer the door and she is looking for Dan, but he wasn't around. She and i chat for awhile and i find out she only recently met Dan because he helped her move a box to her apt, which coincidently is down the hall from us. I invite her to Dan's show on Saturday and get her number. :P I mean i just want to play with her supposed cute dog someday.

Saturday morning i get up relatively early because my friend Dave was suppose to come by and help us work on building/salvaging walls in our apt. He was pretty late, but at least we got some progress before i had to leave to meet up with Dana for dinner. Here's some pictures of the apt before continuing on my day.

Once it was about 6pm i had to go and change and meet Dana at Astor place to go to a yummy noodle shop. The noodles were yum-tastic as i finished mine and then i went and finished Dana's noodles too...and then proceeded to finish her beer after i finished my oolong tea with shochu. As Dana and i were leaving to meet with Marisa and Dan Cole outside the place, i bump into Abby and Amy, whom i met during the summer and live a block away from me.

So the four of us walk over to Crash Mansion to see Skyhill and Dan. Met up with Lori and some of her friends that she rallied to the place. After the show some of use went to find Sergio at a bar nearby and do some more drinking and hanging out.

Oh i totally forgot on my walk to the subway stop, this girl comes up to me asking for a cigarette. I didn't have any and she responds with that's ok i'm trying to quit. Anyway, i end up chatting with her till the subway stop and she asks my name and i find out she lives across the street from me. Anastasia is an interesting girl only because during our conversation i find out her dad is into hardcore drugs.

Sunday was a restful and cold day and i got to witness the Giants making it to the SuperBowl! Awesome weekend, stayed awesome.

Insert jokes about eating pussy or me being chinese.

New Years was quite fun and different this year. Usually i'm in jersey with friends i've known for over a decade and some new people, but this year i decided to stay in Brooklyn and party with some OtakuBooty people and get to know people in my area. I was pretty amazed at the fact that Sergio and Jon only live 2 subway stops from me and how it's nicer than my apt. :)

Here are some pictures that Christina took, that pretty much describe the party:

So sometime around 3:30am we decided to follow Claire because she had work belly dancing at 4am. We go off drunkenly following each other and going in wrong directions. Eventually Dana, Zach and i take a $5 cab to the place and discover the $35 admission we heard was a lie and it was $55. It was a bit much but we had already traveled all that way and wanted to see Claire belly dance, plus there was promise of a buffet of food. The food was pretty good, but we had to wait like 3hrs before Claire actually got to dance. I think Sergio and a guy named Rob couldn't stay awake any longer and left around 6am. I think Dana, Zach and i were determined to get to see Claire dance especially since we payed money for it. :) Claire is a great belly dancer, at least as much as i could see from the sea of guys taking photos or video and the occasional chubby lady dancing in the way of my view.

As we leave after Claire is done we catch a cab and during the ride back to Sergio's the cab driver didn't know where it was. He didn't even know how to get to my apt so i got out of the cab with Zack and Dana and got onto a nearby L train. I finally get home after 8am and passed out.

I hope everyone had a great New Years and thanks to anyone who texted me at New Years as i was busy drinking to text people first.

So i'm back from Dallas, Texas and it was quite awesome. Dan and i are adventurers! Here's a little preview of what's to come:

We begin our story in a wintery mix of snow/sleet/rain Sunday morning. Our flight leaves at 8am and we leave on the subway to JFK at 6am, thinking it would only take us an hr to get to the airport. The L subway is only like 2 blocks from our apt and it was one of the hardest walks we ever took to the subway....the wind blowing against us and trudging through an inch of slushy snow. After taking the subway and the airtrain, we arrive at JFK airport at 7:45am and thus missed our flight when we checked in. Luckily there was another flight at 9am and we got on that.

The flight to Detroit was delayed and we took off at around 10:30am and we arrived at 12:30pm which our connecting flight was set to leave at 12:26pm. We were worried that we'd miss our flight, but Detroit was being hit was some snow and that flight was delayed for an hr. The last leg of our trip with all the delays we hoped we wouldn't miss the concert. As our original flight plan would have given us 3hrs to check in to our hotel and get to the show. However, with all the delays we arrive in Dallas at 3:30pm and hope we can make the 5pm show.

Good thing there was no traffic so we got to our snazzy hotel and rested for 10min and then left to see the Polyphonic Spree at the Lakewood Theatre.

Monday morning we checked out and went to the Uptown Bar and Grill for some lunch before going back to the airport. We had a cute blonde waitress, whom we chatted with before we left and Dan gave her an album.

On our way back to the airport i thought this would be a fitting goodbye.

Goodbye Cowboys!

The Detroit airport is pretty nice and had this cool fountain that had water hopping around.

Dan's band Skyhill played about a week ago and it was a good show. Kinda tough for some people to get out on a cold Tuesday night to see him, but he said he got about 60-70 people just for his show. The great turn out led the Bitter End venue to offer Skyhill two more shows in February. Skyhill is definitely looking to be on the up and up.

There he is, Dan the man.

His band plays again on the 19th at the Luna Lounge in Brooklyn. Come on out if ya can, if not he does have a few more shows coming up in January and February.

Oh right before the Skyhill show, we demolished another room. Slowly breaking down the apt so we can build REAL rooms, rather than these open area rooms. Hopefully this month we'll extend my room's wall to that white pillar and start putting up the lofts for both our beds.

On Sunday morning, Dan and i get on a plane to Dallas, Texas to go see the Polyphonic Spree in concert. I've heard that we are gonna get a crappy snow storm on Saturday night. I really hope it doesn't fuck up our flight...even a delay would not be good...not sure how our connecting flight would be affected. If there is no delays and we arrive on time, we have 3hrs to check-in at the hotel and then go to see the show. Hopefully get to hang out with an OB member or two at the show or after.

We are only staying for the night and leave the next afternoon, but we are staying in a swanky hotel. I booked a Luxury concept suite at Hotel Zaza, and the room is the "Out of Africa" concept. I saw in the pictures that it had a Tiger skin rug, which is pretty awesome.
